What the agent can see

This page lists what the agent reads when it answers you. It also lists what stays out of its reach.

What can the agent read?

Your connected systems. The agent reads your systems through tool calls. It reaches only the connected systems of your installation.

The knowledge base. Your administrator fills the knowledge base with your documentation. The agent searches it while it writes your reply. See How the agent uses knowledge.

The files you attach. The agent reads a file from your computer after you attach it to a message. See Upload files for the ways to attach one and for the limits.

Your profile. Hyground sends your role and both text fields from your profile. It does not send the name in How Hyground should call you. See Personalize Hyground.

A session that Hyground starts begins without a profile. No user sends its first message. Your profile then travels with every message you send into that session. See Sessions Hyground starts.

The open session. The agent works from the history of the open session. See What the agent remembers.

Your own past sessions. The agent can bring recalled content from your own past sessions into a new session. This recall is not available inside a shared session. See What the agent remembers.

What can the agent not read?

  • Your screen. The agent never sees your browser, your desktop, or your files on disk. It reads a file only after you attach it.
  • Systems nobody connected. A system outside your installation stays out of reach.
  • Other users' sessions. Recall reads your own sessions only, whether the other session is private or shared. The agent does read the history of a shared session that you open.

The agent also acts with the access your administrator configured, not with your personal accounts. See Whose access the agent uses.
